It’s important to keep in mind that this is the first version of the Apple Pencil, meaning it’s compatible with older iPads and uses the Lightning connector for pairing and charging. But the original Apple Pencil could still be a worthwhile gift for those who have an older iPad model that doesn’t support the newer styluses. It also comes with a Lightning adapter, an extra tip and a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter, which is required if you want to use this stylus with a 10th-generation iPad.
