As I’m writing, I am breathing a deep sigh of crisp air while sitting in my backyard, basking in the sunshine. Sure, it’s only 55 degrees in New Jersey—but with signs of the sun and the snow finally melted, to me, means spring is here.
And what better way to usher in a new season than a new sale from Amazon? Amazon’s first-ever Big Spring Sale is on now from March 20 through March 25, and I took advantage of the early deals over the weekend to prep my backyard for a deserving revamp.
There are tons of yard and garden products on sale, from raised garden beds at steep discounts (we’re talking 40 percent off) to cute bird feeders to yardwork essentials. These are a few of the items either in my cart or already on their way to my house.
Here are some of my favorite yard and garden picks from the Amazon Big Spring Sale, from an editor who can’t wait to set up her birdbath.

My garden hose was due for a refresh. We’ve had our old one for 25 years, and though I thank it for its service, the nozzle was incredibly leaky and the hose itself was full of dirt and kinks. I snagged this hose on sale (for $15 off), which is a huge, 50 ft. long and in a cute, springy teal colorway.

I started using grow bags last year to add a bit more growing space to my yard, which only has one small plot setup for a garden. These are super affordable and perfect for growing small trees, shrubs, or crops like tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes.

I know olive trees get all of the love when it comes to choosing a decorative tree, but I found this pomegranate tree listed under the Spring Sale and immediately knew I wanted to order it. I’ve ordered live plants from Amazon before, and Amazon does an amazing job of packaging and shipping them. I’m excited to receive this and get it planted, even if I don’t get any pomegranates in my growing zone. A girl can dream.

We tend to replace the mat outside our sliding door to the backyard year after year since it gets so cruddy during the winter. I love this cheery, simplistic mat that sells for less than $15.

This rug duped me—I really would’ve thought it was from Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn. I love the neutral, geometric pattern. I’ve never had an outdoor rug before, and I’m excited to add a proper outdoor setup now with the addition of this rug.

Another item I’ve always wanted is a potting bench, and now thanks to the Amazon Big Spring Sale, I’m pretty motivated to hit “add to cart.” I have a bad habit of repotting plants or starting seeds on my deck and leaving spilled soil all over. I can’t wait to set this up and eliminate that mess.

Every year when I go to start my seeds, I realize I’m missing plant markers. I am always growing tons of varieties of plants, including 20 different tomato types, so these name tags are great for labeling each seed cell. Plus, with 200 labels included, it’s okay for me to forget about them again until next year.

This has been an item on my wishlist for a while, so I feel justified in finally picking it up during the sale. The reviews are excellent, and people cited that it was easy to put together, and looks just how they expect. Good enough for me!
