Presidents Day is a US federal holiday. Also known as Washington’s Birthday in honor of George Washington, the holiday is now used to celebrate every person who has served as US president.
Presidents Day is always the third Monday in February, meaning that Presidents Day 2025 will be observed on Feb. 17.
Like most annual holidays, Presidents Day brings along a bunch of sales at popular retailers and these aren’t confined to a specific date. Most kicked off a week or two before Presidents Day, and many are continuing for a little while beyond the holiday. But lucky for you, there are already some early deals floating around for Presidents Day that you can snag now if you want to beat the rush. Keep in mind that a majority of these early sales are for mattresses.
Presidents Day sales are wide-ranging, covering everything from TVs, tech and smart home gear to home appliances, mattresses, furniture and more. We expect to see huge sales at Amazon, Best Buy and other major retailers, plus some mattress companies are offering Black Friday-level pricing, along with other impressive bargains. These sales aren’t fully here yet, since we’re still a few weeks out from the holiday. In the coming weeks, we expect most retailers to start slashing prices in honor of the holiday.
