Update: We have 4 Eufy cameras (2x S220 and 2x C210) and a S380 base station. One of our C210 cameras failed and spontaneously bricked itself 3 days ago, about 9 months after installed. At first Eufy claimed it was out of warranty as it was 'refurbished'. When I noted that I had thought I had bought new and nowhere on the invoice did it say refurbished, Eufy agreed to replace with same item, but not provide further warranty. That is reasonable. It is great when companies can review individual cases and provide support.
The connection setup to your account is great, could not be easier. Installation is likewise very simple, 2 screws and spin the unit on the mount and aim it.
Charging. Unless you have direct ,and I do mean *direct*, sunlight, all day, you will be charging these but how often will vary. Seems like they should be able to go at least a month without charging in the shade so that's not horrible, if you have a shaded one you treat it as a regular battery camera. Plenty of modern solar panels can get some juice from ambient daylight so that seems like a miss considering how little power these need.
Quality is just ok, 2k isn't really 2k if it's full of chunky compression artifacts. 15 FPS is barely adequate, I'd rather a clear lower def recording without artifacts at a higher frame rate any day. Cam makers are just in a bullet point war here, crystal clear 720p at 30fps is more than adequate to read things or identify a person while blurry, choppy, 15fps 4k is useless. But at $119 for 2 I'm fairly happy with the quality...once I download it so I can actually see something.
The app is horrible. It downloads and signs up fine, it adds cameras quite easily too...but that is something you will do once or maybe a couple times if you add devices to the system. Setting up detection zones is also fairly easy, it often doesn't register where your finger is touching though and moves the whole field instead of moving a point. Getting it to connect to the cameras to update events takes a long time and is hit or miss, sometimes you'll get an alert of a recording but then get to the event screen and there is nothing there even after refreshing. Viewing videos is painful, touching the tiny icons to view full screen, play, pause or move the time slider is really hard to get right. Make these controls *MUCH* larger, they disappear after a second anyway so make it big enough to actually hit with a finger. I've just defaulted to downloading any event and then emailing it to my desktop computer because that inconvenience is faster and less awkward than trying to view on the phone when streamed from the camera. FWIW one camera is 10feet and one wall from my wifi station the other is literally 2.5 feet away, they show maximum signal always.
Value - 5
Picture quality - 3.5, clear 1080p 30fps would be way better than artifacty 2k 15fps

Was told that the battery fully charged alert can not be turned off.
I replaced all my Eufy cameras with Ring. No more annoying battery fully charged alerts.
