This is a great quality little camera, although I wish you could pan on it, but it’s a fixed position. The picture quality is really good but the Wyze app is horrible. They make it so incredibly difficult to watch your event videos without paying for a subscription. Very stripped down features if you don’t want to pay. The UI is terrible. To watch recorded events you have to align to a tiny thin green line and then tap on a green hand circle to watch the video. You want to save that video? Good luck figuring that out. Jump thru a few more hoops and keep dodging the subscription pop ups. The camera that uses the Little elf smart app is much more user friendly and isn’t trying to take your money every moment.

I had first purchased the wyze og 1080 and after two days trying it, im returning it and bought this one instead. Wyze og would not detect people and the reason i bought it is to keep an eye on my car. This one because of the 2.5 focus is great. Detects perfectly people walking around my car, pets and vehicles. The color night vision is awesome really clear picture in darkness and even thought i installed it in my window, picture is absolutely clear night and day. Totally recommend for the size of the camera and the price, totally worth it. I was looking for a small camera as i didn't have lots of space to place it in the window and this one is just perfect. I've never been one for the whole home security system idea, unfortunately it seemed like a good idea after a few packages being stolen, cars getting broken into, and a hit and run on my car.
I was pretty skeptical about this company and their cameras, but after having them up and trying them out, I'm really happy with the ones I have.
This one I believe is one of the newer cameras released, and it's definitely my favorite. From customizing things in the app (spotlight, having it either beep or say "your being recorded" when it detects something, and a bunch of other things.), and being able to talk through it or use a siren, and get notifications about anything from people, cars, pets and the random raccoon that sets mine off overnight, packages, and even Smoke, CO2, Gunshots and glass breaking?!?! I'm fairly impressed.
I also was monitoring mine over the 4th of July to see if it could distinguish between a firework and gunshots and I think it was pretty accurate (my neighbor occasionally "fires his gun for rent control" lol) cause it picked up about 3 instances of "gunshots" but idk if it was true or not.
It also has a "zoom" feature that you can lock if you want (although I think it's still fairly new and has some issues), license plate detection (which only works within a certain distance), and pretty decent night vision (legit looks like daytime to me lol) and decent video quality.

It's also pretty easy to set up. If you're using the app, I recommend setting it up prior to installing it in its forever home. And mounting it is super simple, you can either use this magnet or screw it down wherever. And there are add-ons you can get for wherever your mounting it (longer cords, window mounts, ect).

I'm pretty happy with the company, I like my cameras, they make a ton of different cameras and home security stuff, so I would check out their website for more details and information. They also run deals and discounts on both Amazon and their website, but I think Amazon has faster shipping than they do.

I have been a Wyze customer since 2019. I have near 30 Wyze cameras of varying models between my home and office. I have been extremely pleased with their products, service and prices.

The camera: This camera having 2.5K image quality is definitely one of the most impressive! The colors are vivid and the picture is sharp as you can see in my images. The motion detection is great and has a motion feature that allows you to see where in the frame the camera detected movement by outlining with a green box. I have even been able to stop potential thieves because of motion notifications. I do not use the spotlight since all of my v4 cameras are either indoors or looking out of a window. With this being said, the night vision works very well in low light. For my cameras that sit in windows, I have the infrared lights turned off to prevent them reflecting back from the glass. I also turn the status light off on all of my cameras to keep my them from being so obvious. I have detection zones drawn so that I don’t get unnecessary motion from traffic on the road. The settings are super customizable in the app. The sound is pretty crisp too. A 6-foot, flat cord allows for flexible placement.

The app: The quality of the app is just as important as the camera itself. Without the ability to easily view live videos and retrieve recordings, the camera is useless. I use the iOS version of the Wyze app and don’t run into any issues. I do not pay for the subscription. Instead, I use a $5 microSD card that continuously records. The card, along with Wyze’s FREE cloud option is sufficient for my use. When using the microSD option, you are able to drag on a timeline to playback specific times. On the timeline, you can also see times when motion was detected (specified by a waving hand). You can actually click the hand in order to playback that specific motion event.

5 stars for a wonderful system all around. I will definitely continue buying Wyze products.

This product is all I was looking for. From the box to functionality in just minutes.
Two way sound quality. Very small and discreet with multiple color options to suit your needs. Live views,motion detection,night vision,and even a spot light. Tried other brand and just wasn't what I was looking for. 24 7 recording option. Just insert a micro SD card and you get 24 7 security with no subscription. This little camera has it all for such a small price. Got 6 so far and looking for more.

My 4th wyze camera already. Worth the money, easy to operate and install.

I've used Wyze cameras and their other devices since the company first started. On the whole they have performed well and are reliable.
This cameras night vision is excellent. I use one for monitoring my drive through a window and it works great. The color, sound quality and siren feature are all excellent.
The associated Wyze app is simple to use and allows for playback from the optional memory card or the cloud based subscription service.
Wyze devices play well with Alexa and can be used with the Smart Home function in Alexa.
An open API would be nice. So that Wyze cameras could work with more platforms than Amazon and Google. Hopefully Matter will help this.
For an average person who wants an easy to setup, simple to use, cheap to buy, reliable camera. Wyze is a great fit.
